Meet Dr Domingues

Dr. Vinicius Domingues graduated from Estácio de Sá Medical School (Brazil); did his Internal Medicine residency at Weill Cornell Medical Center (NYP / NY), and his Rheumatology fellowship at New York University (NYU / NY).

Dr. Domingues treats all rheumatologic conditions, such as:

Dr. Domingues believes in a treat-to-target approach in rheumatology and every plan regarding treatment is based on shared decision making with the patient. Each patient has their own spectrum of disease, and therefore treatment should be individualized. He also believes in an integrated care for the patient, taking advantage of physical therapy, pain medicine and holistic medicine.

Dr. Domingues is dedicated to provide thoughtful insight on the disease, helping deconstruct the stigma or a rheumatic disease and explaining carefully all steps of approach and treatment.

Dr. Domingues performs several procedures to alleviate the symptoms, such as corticosteroid joint injections and tender points.

Dr. Domingues has a passion for academics, collaborating on several research papers and book chapters, most on the topic of systemic lupus erythematosus and antiphospholipid syndrome. He is also very active the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) and participates in the committee on rheumatologic care (CORC)

Dr. Domingues does not take care of primary fibromyalgia.
